Elevate Bay to Hold Orientation & Volunteer Training Session**

Posted by: Tesa Burch on Wednesday, July 10, 2019

Panama City, FL – On August 1, 2019, local charity organization Elevate Bay will
visit the Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS® to educate new volunteers on
the meaningful and selfless work they do to help Bay District School Students. They are
holding an Orientation and Volunteer Training session in the CPAR Classroom from 10
am to 11am to introduce their volunteer opportunities for the 2019 – 2020 school year.
Elevate Bay focuses their work on the children in our community who are at-risk
and facing challenges. They focus on students with instability and try to bring good
examples and inspiration into their paths. They operate a Mentor program where adults
can volunteer in several different ways to become a part of a student’s recovery. They
also operate a meal program which sends home around 1,400 weekend food bags
home with children who would not have the resource otherwise.
Following Hurricane Michael, the organization has experienced a major drop in
Mentor participation and seeks to build their Mentor base back up to pre-storm levels
and beyond. This Orientation and Training is free and open to the public. Those who
wish to attend can register at www.cpar.us/ElevateBay
